Monday Musings

Labor Day brings the end of summer, white pants and free time. Although fall is about to be in full swing, we still have Labor Day Weekend sales to make the most of the fleeting summer. With tons of sales going on and outfits starting to transition to fall I thought this would be an opportune time to focus on style.

one // Falling for Diana – To start off, I loved this fun, short piece from The Blonde Salad on fall looks inspired by Princess Diana’s style. I’ve always thought her style was classic and elegant and the fact that you could still wear these looks today says more than I ever could to sway you. The first look is my favorite and one I wouldn’t hesitate to replicate.

two // Band Tees – If you saw this post you’ll know I love a good graphic tee. While trying to build up my fall wardrobe, I found myself in Abercombie and right when I walked in I noticed they had some really cute band tees! I ended up getting one featuring The Who because they’re one of my dad’s favorite bands and it’s so comfy! The entire store is 40% off right now which made it a no-brainer. They also have some cute sweaters included in the sale too if you’re looking for warmer transitional pieces!

three // Suede Skirt – Suede is one of my favorite fall fabrics and I’m such a sucker for a good fall skirt. This one from Urban Outfitters is so cute and so affordable! With a light-weight sweater its perfect for those 65 degree days!

four // Draper James – Reese Witherspoon’s brand Draper James has been really impressing me lately. You’ve probably seen this dress a million and one times this summer because it was clearly a blogger favorite and really skyrocketed the brand's visibility, but being on a college budget put it way out of my price range. This weekend there’s an extra 30% off sale and this dress, along with a few other really cute pieces are on sale! I love these matching shorts and can’t get over this cherry print skirt!

five // Big Brown Bag Sale – Last but not least, I couldn’t help but share a few pieces from the Bloomingdales Labor Day Weekend sale. I was able to find a few pieces that would transition really well into fall, like this deep red Rebecca Minkoff Love bag that’s almost 50% off and these Tory Burch wallets available in camel and pink! I also LOVE this Burberry jacket; I have it in brown and I wear it pretty much non-stop from October through March. It’s perfect for fall and spring and layers well in the winter when it’s not too cold outside! Just like the bag, it’s almost 50% off but only until the end of today!
